Dan W. Duggan, Jr. received his B.S. degree from the University of Houston in 1982 and his J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law in 1986. He was in private practice in Jackson, Mississippi from 1988 until 1998 as a sole practitioner, with an emphasis on criminal defense. In 1998, he moved his offices to Brandon, Mississippi, where he continued to practice as a sole practitioner until 2004. From 2004 until 2007 he was a partner in the firm of Duggan, Coxwell and Lemon, PLLC. On February 1, 2008, he was appointed assistant district attorney with the Rankin County District Attorney’s office. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar, Texas Bar, Rankin County Bar, and Hinds County Bar. Dan and his wife, Polly, are members of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, where he currently serves as Elder and sits on the Session. He and Polly have two children and one granddaughter, Evie, who lives in Manchester, England.
